VIVA BANANARAMAFascination Records 2009 Bananarama's new abum 'VIVA' has easily been labelled as one of their best ever recorded albums to date, just under a week into it's release and it's selling tremendously well and recieving excellent reviews across the board and fans of Bananaram new and old are lapping up their new electronic disco sound, with a polished production from Ian Masterson who produced tracks for their 2005 album 'Drama' he is well known for his amazing work with Petshop Boys, Dannii Minogue and Girls Aloud. The vocal structure and vocoding is something Bananarama have never tried before to this extent and it works brilliantly, they have written, recorded and released a very contemporary, fresh and energetic collection of songs that will stand against anything they've done previously. There are a few songs on here that Siobhan would be proud to have her name to. You should all rush out and buy the album from stores and oline providers. Below is an album sampler for your listening pleasure, listen, enjoy, BUY! VIVA samplerwww.mediafire.com/?ydtymzkbjqmOnline stockists. Just one more thing....that you may like to see? We had this arrive a few moments ago. We were informed it is the photography and artwork of the forthcoming Shakespears Sister 'It's A Trip' E.P. It's a very chic image and as you can see Siobhan has returned to her old, dark Sister image, even the old 90s font has been ressurected. This release will be added to the discography section asap.

In response to an email we have been told that the 'forthcoming' Shakespears Sister E.P will include title track 'It's A Trip' re-recorded and remixed different to Siobhan's solo release with Punx Soundcheck Icon Series 7" and also from her studio versions. The mix spoken of was 'Data Panik Remix' which of course was mentioned a long time ago. Also to be included will be 3 more new tracks which will form the E.P which will be released as a physical CD and digital download, so no vinyl it seems.
There was no information forthcoming about any record label BUT the E.P is to preceed a NEW Shakespears Sister album......again to be confirmed. So as it Stands, it seems Siobhan has halted all plans to release her much anticipated solo album 'Songs From The Red Room' even though she said recently it had been completed and mastered, a shame.

Just a new little piece of Fahey musing.... On Wikipedia recently it is said that the female vocal singing the Patrice Rushen "Forget Me Nots" segment at the end of George Michaels "Fastlove" single from 1995 is none other than an uncredited Siobhan Fahey, of Bananarama and Shakespear's Sister fame??? Who knew? I didn't. We'll have to try and get confirmation on this.
